Wow I thought it was just me now Cyberpowerpc will be off my list. I was looking for a gaming computer, did my research looked online and they said cyberpowerpc black mamba was the best computer so I decided well maybe if cyberpower has the best machine maybe I can build a pc from their website. So I did build and get to choose my own internal parts. I was happy and excited. When I got it two days later this message poped up and wouldn't let me boot into the computer at all telling me something about my usb not detected and shutting down in 15 secs. I was like wtf I tried asking for help through message and on the phone but no one would pick up the dam phone and no one replied back to me. So then i decided to look online to solve my problem myself and I did solved it, I just unplug one of the usb port wire that was connected to my motherboard and it solved my problem. Now another problem is when I first got the computer I thought well maybe the lag is just the internet not good. So I moved the computer closer to the modem and connected the ethernet wire. Wow same problem the computer was laggin so bad when I play songs from either my files or on youtube the sound would lag and make crackling noise and the mouse course would lag too I was so fustrated. Finally I called them again and had a reach of someone. I told them about my problem and the guy said to me that so do you want to ship it for us to repair it or do you want to refund it? He asked me in a way like oh this is just another person who is having problem with our pc's don't need to help them solve the problem just ask them if they want to repair it or refund it cause I know we have bad pcs and bad company anyways. Wow like he knew that there's no point in helping me to solve my issue because it's just another problem with their hardware that they should of tooken care of. So I'm refunding it now and shipping it out tomorrow and I can not believe that I have to pay for the shipping too it's not my fault I don't want their garbage it's cyberpowerpc fault that they should of tested out everything before selling it to customers. I am not happy but oh well this is a lesson to teach me only at least I get my 1,500 dollars back from them. Bad customer service and bad hardwares I wouldnt recomend buying from them

Bought a computer from them several years ago. Have been pleased with the device, but the service is so bad. Just today I called to ask a question. 45 min. on hold, then they told me to call the maker of the motherboard if I wanted support.

I have also had very bad experience with CYberpowerPC. They never respond to your calls untill you call them 10 times. If you call their sales depadtment they answer quickly but when youocall their support it is very hard to get a response. After about five minutes someone answers and asks you to hold and then you can be on hold again for one or two hours. I strongly discourage anyone from buying from this company untill they clean up their acts. CyberpowerPC manamement shame on you!

Nice post! Funny stuff, though as a white guy, and a self-professed foodie I have to comment.

I am actually a foodie who cooks! Perhaps it's because I don't have a Taite or Amanda, but I actually enjoy cooking, as indicated in a recent blog post (http://edmarsh.com/?p=56).

I also learned here on the streets of NYC not to eat from street vendors, though dammit, i miss those gyros!

Thanks for the comments Jim. You are right on the money with this post. Ella was finally able to stand up in her jumperoo for the first time yesterday. She loved it. A small achievement like that made us proud parents. Ellen and I smiled at each other and knew that we were going to be ok.

It's tempting, but there are still a couple of problems with getting a Mac. First, there's still the price premium. For the gorgeous, but somewhat underpowered (at the price) hardware, you pay a premium. Apple going Intel hasn't seemed to lessen that. The other potential issue is how ultraportable the smaller MacBook will be. It's gotta weigh in at less than 5 lbs since most of the Ultraportables are between 2.8 and 4.5 lbs.

If it were for me, I'd just get the lovely MacBook Pro, but size/weight are at the top of the list for The Wife.

It could be only a couple of months 'till we see the new iBook, probably called "MacBook". That might be the one for you. Supposedly it will have a 13" screen which would put it closer to the ultraportable class than the MacBook Pro.

I dare you to switch. ;-)

I haven't really given it a very good workout yet. I sucked up a few smallish bits of cereal and crackers and it seemed to work just fine. It mostly stands there at attention waiting for deployment.
